Dartmouth students and alumni are invited to attend Law Day programming in Hanover May 4-5. U.S. District Court Judge Jeffrey Meyer will give the keynote Volk Lecture, addressing "The Fourth Amendment in Jeopardy? Privacy vs. Security in the Electronic Age."
Judge Meyer will be joined by Ernie Babcock ‘70, former Deputy General Counsel at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Deirdre Daly ’81, U.S. Attorney in Connecticut, and Tim Edgar ‘94, former Director of Privacy and Civil Liberties for the White House National Security Staff and Deputy for Civil Liberties for the Director of National Intelligence, to discuss “Electronic Search and Seizure: Balancing the Government’s Need for Information and Citizens’ Right to Privacy in an Age of Terrorism.” Former DLA President Howard Morse '81 will moderate the panel discussion.

The DLA elected Barbara Murphy '79 to serve as President for 2017-2019 at its annual meeting in Banff. Other officers elected included: Joanna Cline '95 (Secretary), Jennie Arlin '88 (Vice President for Website/Social Media), Hilary Miller '73 (Treasurer), Tom Skilton '89 (VP Membership), Brian Daucher '91 (VP Directory), and Jeff Carton '88 (VP Events and Communications. Formerly President Howard Morse '81 will be organizing the 2018 ski meeting.

More than 55 were present at the Dartmouth Lawyers Association annual meeting held Feb. 23-25, at the Rimrock Resort, in Banff, Alberta, Canada. Great activities for skiers and non-skiers alike. Thanks to Rick Sharpless '79 for organizing the meeting, and to speakers Thea Fabio, Amy Folbe '84, Jim Hunnicutt '98, Hillary Miller '73, Stacy Philips '80, and Alyssa Rower '01.
